Before Your Haircut

If you’ve had a bad haircut before — you’re not alone

Many of my clients come to me after feeling disappointed, over-layered, or not listened to at other salons. Some were told “trust the process” — and never felt safe again.

If that’s you, I want you to know:You’re not difficult, and you’re not asking for too much.A great haircut, however, does need clarity and trust — on both sides.

How we get the best result together

Before I start cutting, we’ll talk through your haircut direction clearly and agree on the plan.Once we begin, I guide the cutting process. This allows me to protect the shape, balance, and condition of your hair.Changing direction halfway through or watching every snip can limit what’s possible — even when the inspiration is beautiful.

About changes during the haircut

If the haircut direction changes significantly once we’ve started, I may need to rebuild the structure. This can affect the final result or require a redesign appointment.

Abstract Sand Texture

This haircut is right for you if…

  • You want a shape that wears well over time

  • You’re open to professional guidance once we agree on a plan

  • You value thoughtful, personalised cutting over rushed results

It may not be the right fit if…

  • You need full control over each step while I’m cutting

  • You feel very anxious seeing any layering at all

  • You’re unsure of the outcome and not ready to trust the process yet

If that’s the case, a consultation‑first appointment may suit you better.

What can take extra time (and why)

Extra time may be needed if:

  • You’re feeling unsure and want to explore several options

  • The haircut direction changes once we’ve started

  • You’d like step-by-step reassurance or detailed adjustments

If time runs out:

  • We’ll keep today’s result safe and complete

  • Or plan a follow-up appointment to finish refining

Additional time or follow-ups are charged at $100 per hour, so everything stays clear and fair for both of us.
